The short version

I’m Jenna. By day I run communications for a family-owned real estate company in New Jersey, which means I spend a lot of time making warehouses sound interesting and reading planning board agendas for fun. By night, apparently, I do the same thing but about other stuff.

Why “Odd Korners”

My grandfather kept newspapers stacked along the walls of his house, on the floor, in the corners, years of them. Everyone thought it was a little nuts. I think he just did not want to throw away anything that might turn out to matter. This blog is the digital version of his floor: the stories I could not stop thinking about, filed somewhere I can find them.

What ends up here

Kratom shops with neon signs. License plate cameras at the end of quiet streets. Local hearings nobody attends. I am less interested in hot takes than in the small, boring decisions that turn out to shape everything. If a story has a paper trail, a town council vote, and a “wait, when did that happen,” it belongs here.
